Millions of Americans have been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including emphysema and chronic bronchitis. COPD makes it difficult to perform normal activities like household chores, social and family activities, and sleeping. Because COPD impacts so many lives, researchers are working to develop new drugs that may better treat the condition in the future.
Local doctors are looking for volunteers with COPD, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis for a clinical research study of a study drug. Qualified study volunteers will receive treatment — either the study drug or another COPD medication.
